This is not a lunar or solar calendar. It is a scriptural calendar.
Genesis 1:14 tells us that the luminaries are for signs of appointed times, during the year. Psalms 104:19 tells us that the MOON marks the seasons and thus the set-apart (Qodesh) feasts or festivals within each of those seasons. Leviticus 23:4 tells us that the feasts are to be celebrated ONLY in their appointed times/seasons, which we’ve established is marked by the moon. Jubilees 6:32 tells us that there are 364 days in a year, not 365. Since scripture tells us that the MOON is for signs and seasons, we can deduce that the SUN marks the DAYS and years, since it is the SUNS cycle that keeps the 364 day count, according to Enoch’s documentation of the suns movements through the gates.
By carefully observing the luminaries, we can determine the current season and know which feast to celebrate. Feasts, including Shabbat, are seasonal and the moon is for seasons. This also means the Shabbat matches it's season, since some feasts, like Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, fall on the Shabbat. When we sync the Shabbat with the New Moon day of each season, we find the four days, known as the "Days of Remembrance" in the book of Jubilees. To find these Shabbat days, look for the FIRST New Moon (crescent) of EACH season and count seven days after that day. Enoch 78:12 tells us that a New Moon is classified by the first sighted light on the moon, which would look like a small crescent.
Enoch helps us understand the length of a year by observing the Sun's time in the 12 gates of the heavens. According to scripture, there are 364 days as the Sun passes through these gates each year. The Moon takes 29.5 (x12) days to complete it's cycles.
When we divide the suns time in each gate by 4 (for seasons), we get up to 90 +1 extra day to account for the "turn of the season."
So, the first two months in each season have 29.5 days, and the 3rd month in the season has 29.5 days +1 day for each turn of the season.
With the sun spending 30 days in each gate and the moon spending 29.5 days, this slight difference in cycles results in the moon lagging behind the sun by 10 days per year. This is why after 3 years (a collective 30 moon days lagging behind the sun) an intercalary month is inserted, where needed. During an intercalary year the year count is 384 days. 354 moon days + 30 days.
The sun gives it's light to the moon and it completes the full 364 day yearly cycle, while the moon totals 354 days as the true number of days in a lunar year.
All 12 gates + the sun's maximum time spent in each gate (Enoch 72:6-42)
Gate Duration
4 30 days - month 1 (spring aka ABIB) <- day of remembrance
5 30 days - month 2
6 31 days - month 3
6 30 days - month 4 (summer) <- day of remembrance
5 30 days - month 5
4 31 days - month 6
3 30 days - month 7 (fall) <- day of remembrance
2 30 days - month 8
1 31 days - month 9
1 30 days - months 10 (winter) <- day of remembrance
2 30 days - month 11
3 31 days - month 12
By considering the first sighted moon (crescent) as the new moon (Enoch 78:12) and the dark moon as the final phase, we can align the lunar calendar with a solar year of 364 days, as described in the books of Enoch and Jubilees; each year comprising four equal quarters of 91 days. The model our calendar is based on provides a balanced and consistent framework. It respects the teachings that Enoch received from the angel Uriy'al (sent by TMH) and provides a coherent system for tracking time that is both practical and aligned with natural astronomical phenomena.
We understand you might be more familiar with the Gregorian calendar. Still, if your goal is to follow The Most High's commands faithfully, your personal opinions don't matter. His word holds supreme authority, overriding misunderstandings or the Gregorian calendar, which many use. Seek Him wholeheartedly because He gives clear instructions.
The Most High has established a sacred calendar of 364 days, as described in the Tanakh. Additional evidence is found in the books of Enoch and Jubilees. Keep in mind, Enoch's writings precede Moses' Torah. Both were inspired by The Most High, YAHUAH (YHWH), giving us reason to recognize and praise His name. HalleluYah!
